Research interests
My primary training has been as a clinician. While doing my residency in psychiatry an avenue that attracted my interest was cognition in patients with psychiatric illnesses especially bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Training myself in multimodal brain imaging has been a part of my pursuit to define the underlying neurobiology of these illnesses. Psychopharmacology and neurology are also keen areas of interest for me.
About me
I would describe myself as somebody who is technology savvy, loves gadgets and gizmos but has empathy preceeding all other emotions. I chose to become a doctor to ameliorate pain and in due course found that I enjoyed studying about human behaviour. I also enjoy reading, travelling and watching movies.
